A superb quality burr walnut late 19th early 20th century three 3 part twin pedestal desk. This Victorian/Edwardian large writing table was made by the makers and retailers , Maples and Co of London in Tottenham Court road. The top is centred by the original leather skiver and top drawer and is flanked by cross banded burr walnut panels the outer edge of which has roman ogee mouldings with an inverted breakfront. The two 2 pedestals contain a flight of four 4 graduated drawers each of which are oak lined and feather cross banded to the front with double herringbone walnut. The whole is raised on original swivel castors concealed within carved ogee bracket feet. This piece of antique furniture has been fully restored and would grace any home. All the drawers slide beautifully and the desk is polished to the back so can stand centrally in your room. Circa 1910.
