This antique walnut & burr maple sideboard was made by the famous London cabinet makers Epstein, hence the quality. It has a lovely mellow colour & is in excellent original condition. The patterns on the veneers are beautiful. There are two concave shaped end cupboards & the centre section with the two drawers is bow shaped. It has chamfered ends & sits on solid walnut legs that have a unique elongated fluted shell design. The drawers are finely dovetailed with locks & the brass handles are original. I would date this to around the 1920's period. There are more matching Epstein items for sale on my site from the same residence, like a dining table & chairs, plus a serving table too.
