Antique Victorian Mahogany Writing Table Desk
Antique Victorian Mahogany Writing Desk and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality Mahogany it has a moulded edge to the original leather top above one long centre drawer with two smaller dummy drawers at either side with original turned knob handles. The top has turned finials to each corner.
The other side of the desk is matching all of the drawers on the other side are for show only allowing the desk to stand in the middle of a room.
The base has beautiful turned lyre supports to each end and is supported on shaped and carved legs on castors and a turned centre stretcher.
Measures 30.5" high x knee height 25" x 24" deep x 42" wide
In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our antique furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
