This is an Antique Victorian Mahogany Double bed c1880-1900.  It is raised upon metal castors with tapering lower legs and slat form with central splats.  It has boxwood line inlay with ornate cartouches on each main panel with urns, swags, bows and central foliate design.  It is a quintessential Victorian slat design that epitomises this period in our history when Britannia ruled the waves and half the planet from this little rock in the Northern hemisphere.  A great piece.
