This Swedish antique walnut commode has a lovely shape & is excellent quality. It’s also rare to find these without marble tops. The top & sides are made up with different sections of walnut panels. The front section has an inverted serpentine shape, with the three drawers having burr walnut panels surrounded by walnut cross banding. The drawers also have ormolu handles & escutcheons of extremely high quality, plus there is a working key for the locks. The sides are also shaped & the corners curved. I particularly like the shaped of the feet & the pierced work on the bottom. This commode is in good original condition, having a lovely warm colour & dates from around the 1910 period.
