Antique Swedish Biedermeier pedestal leather top desk in satin birch, which I would date from around the 1840-60 period. It's in good original condition & the only thing that has been changed is the leather top, which has been hand coloured. The wood has a lovely mellow colour & is full of character. The front section has two cupboards, inside of which are drawers on the right & shelves on the left. The back of this desk looks the same as the front, but nothing opens on that side, because it's just for looks. All the locks in the drawers & cupboards are original. This desk comes apart in three sections making it easy for transportation.
