A wonderful, rare and very handsome cigar compendium dating to around 1900, late Victorian or Edwardian in era. What of course makes this highly desirable is the golf them, with the two match holders at the front being golf balls a mount with crossed golf clubs resting on two gold balls and finally the two lidded boxes having golf ball finials.

Between the match strikes is an attractive shell shaped tray for spent matches etc. and above is a shaped match strike almost looking like a mustache. The tray standing on three bun feet and has an attractive handle each side. The underside is marked CW for Charles Wilkes of Birmingham.

A wonderful find in superb undamaged condition. 12" x 9 3/4".
