Antique silver albert & Aston Manor fob
Antique silver pocket watch albert chain and Aston Manor fob.
The chain measures 31cm long including the T-bar and clasp.
The T-bar is hallmarked for 1908 and has the maker's mark for William W Cashmore. Each of the links has the silver lion mark and one is marked again for Cashmore.
There is also a silver fob, 32mm wide and 34mm high. The fob is hallmarked for 1911. The front is enamelled with the coat of Aston Manor, the arms were officially granted on March 22, 1904. Aston Manor was a local government district in what is now northern Birmingham, from the 19th century to 1911, when it was added to Birmingham. The back of the fob has the inscription, '2nd Prize'.
Total weight 41.6g.
