A highly desirable an collectible coloured example of a spherical match strike with it's threaded glass sides intended to strike a non-safety match that would have been contained inside (the matches shown cannot be shipped with this item).

A very unusual colour indeed, a vibrant almost lime green colour. The top is mounted with antique English sterling silver hallmarked for the highly collectible Chester assay office and the year 1911. The makers initials are somewhat rubbed, but I can identify the maker as being the "Boots Pure Drug Company".

Excellent condition measuring 1 1/2" in diameter x 1 3/4" tall.
