Lovely french armoire from around 1900, made in oak and fruitwood, with veneered panels, probably in walnut. Heavy mirrored door, lined inside with a birdseye veneer. It has a classic Louis XV style crest on top and beautifully carved feet. Below is a drawer with sliding lid, and inside there are five adjustable shelves and another drawer.

Condition is pretty good for its age there is some damage to both sides, bottom rear, where some moulding has gone a sliver to the right of the door and maybe a piece from the top of the crest. It’s had a bit of woodworm in the past nothing structural though and it’s treated anyway, just in case.

Dimensions: 240cm x 63cm x 112cm (the crest exaggerates the depth: the body depth is closer to 50cm and the interior is 40cm not enough for clothes hangers)

As a guideline, a chest of drawers to London is usually £50 and comes within 1-2 weeks. You might wait up to 3-4 weeks to far flung corners of the country. Help with larger items will be required your end, unless you pay for an extra body (not cheap..) and whilst he doesn't just dump it at the kerbside, he'll grumble if he has to do four trips up three flights of stairs, in which case, ask nicely, give him a bit extra and offer him a cup of tea..
