A magnificently carved antique 19th Century Burmese rosewood tilt-top occasional table. The top of the table has a central circular section of wood which is surrounded with a highly decorative border and frieze of pierced and carved foliage. The central pedestal and tripod legs are intertwined with serpents and mythical creatures. A superb quality piece, the table top is hinged which enables it to tilt up.

Condition Report:
Good colour and patina. Solid and sturdy. Section of one foot is missing (Please see photos). Old mend to other foot and various splits to top. The top tilts up but doesn’t stay in the upright position very easily – it will drop back down if knocked (a hook could be attached to prevent this).
