This is an antique architect's desk. An English, mahogany and leather adjustable draughtsman's pedestal desk, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800.

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Beautiful caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish
Select stocks present fine grain interest throughout
Classic pedestal form, ideal for central room placement with faux drawers to verso
Dual layered desk top with an inset embossed leather skiver
Superb riser action with hinges to both sides of the desk
Adjusting for angle, with a toothed rack mechanism to hold the desired position
Wide central drawer dressed with oval brass handles and inset lock — this key present
Upon opening, the drawer presents a striking green baize writing surface
