This lovely 9ct gold fob is fully hallmarked (375/9) and with a Birmingham assay mark. I can't date it from the mark, but it has all the style and design features of a Victorian fob.
It would have hung on the end of a gold watch chain, or Albert, as an attractive terminal.
It has an unengraved, smooth bloodstone, and the great feature is that if you wished to have it engraved at some point there is no previous engraving to spoil the effect.

This is a lovely piece that would hang very nicely from a necklace chain as a pendant, or join a display of antique jewellery. One of the gold dog clips I have for sale would make a great clasp.
