Antique Late Victorian Chinese Carved and Ebonised Rosewood Display Cabinet or Bookcase and dating from around 1890. It has a shaped top cornice top above a heavily carved panel depicting a dragon and snake and this is above two glazed doors with carved and shaped frames and internally there are three original bamboo shelves and with carved bamboo motifs to the back boards. The doors are flanked on each side by heavily carved flora and vines. The cabinet stands on a heavily carved base with two short drawers with carved handles and the whole stand on profusely carved legs and feet. The side panels are carved with bamboo trees.
The whole separates into three parts for ease of transporting.

Measures81" high x 18" deep x 44" wide and internal depth 12.5"

In very good condition with lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our antique furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
