This Anglo-Indian Padouk campaign chest is a remarkable piece in pristine, untouched antique condition. Equipped with four carry handles, it conveniently separates into two sections for ease of transport. The chest features two deep short drawers and three long drawers, all smoothly operating, dovetail constructed, and fitted with inset bun handles. As with all antique pieces, it bears marks of its history for instance, a fragment is missing from the corner of the gadroon carving, and there's a small crack on one side (as depicted in the photo). Nonetheless, this chest is sturdy, boasting a beautiful rich hue, exquisite graining, and an exceptional patina, making it a standout piece of period furniture that offers both storage and a slice of history to any home.
