A very large mahogany Glasgow School wardrobe. In all probability this piece was designed for Wylie And Lockhead by George Logan.There are two inlaid styalised flowers on either side door. There are both Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau influences in the design of this wardrobe. The top is all hanging space beneath it is a central drawers. The handles are pale brass metal pendants with an ablone shell medalion inset into each one. The colours in the ablone shell would not photograph properly, they are beautiful. The wardrobe come into 3 pieces - a top cornice, the hanging space and the base.
The wardrobe is in very good condition but there is a small piece missing from below the drawer on the left side. (see picture)
