Adjustable Reading Stand & Wine Table c.1905
Superb Edwardian era combined reading or music stand and side table c.1905. Ideal for use beside a chair or bed. Walnut bookstand (14″ x 10″) with brass page stays, angle adjustable with a ball and socket mechanism on a hinged arm. Over a 15″ diameter circular table also in walnut with raised and moulded edge. Both elements are independently height adjustable a brass column which is itself also height adjustable – sliding within the reeded lower portion of the column. With ball finial and raised on a heavy cast iron base with claw feet and original ceramic castors. Some damage to the arm holding the reading stand though it is solid and sturdy. Otherwise excellent condition cleaned and polished in our workshops.
