This bookcase is well proportioned and is of simple and elegant design. It stands on a flame mahogany plinth above which are 4 cupboards with flame mahogany panels that conceal are a variety of drawers and adjustable shelves, the 2 central doors have a green baize lined slide above each. The upper section has glazed doors with beautifully carved glazing bars and all original glass, each cupboard has 4 original adjustable shelves with cross banded edges. The bookcase is topped off with a molded cornice. In very good and original condition. 2350mm high, 2640mm wide and 450mm deep. Circa 1835.
