A Rare Provincial 17th Century Joined Oak Press Cupboard

Measuring approximately 62 1/4" x 52" x 21"

A rare and interesting country piece thought to originate from the Westmoreland region.
Raised on molded stile feet the frieze carved with the name 'AGNES ROBINSON:1689' with inverted turned pendants.

The cupboard doors opening on original iron butterfly hinges, the upper stage doors decorated with attractive scroll pattern and Katherine wheels flanking a lozenge carved central panel.

The lower stage with carved guilloche frieze over two large doors with molded rails opening to provide substantial storage space.

The lower stage sides each with 4 panels.
