A mid 18thc Welsh oak Arm Chair
This a chair for those of you that love form, colour, patina and original condition.
The images really tell the story the wonderfully bold cresting , front rail and arms, define this chair as Welsh, Glamorganshire and one of a group of high quality chairs produced during the first half of the 18th century.
I love the fact that the timber was carefully chosen, for example the seat is a single piece with really nice figuring the crest rail has an almost feather-like figuring!
