A Heavily Carved French Oak Small Double Bed,
The Bed is a stunning piece of 19th Century Carving, both the high headboard decorative foot end have double barley twist uprights with very large carved and turned wooden knobs on either side
The sides of the bed are 5” thick and 13” deep these and the lower foot rail of the bed have a huge mask of the Green man carved in the centre
The Headboard is topped off with a superbly carved cornice, this is a fantastic piece and very rare, the size is smaller than the normal English double, we have had a slatted base made to fit the bed and it takes a normal 4ft mattress (this is easy to source)
The head of the bed is 60" high and 60" wide, the over all length of the bed is 82”
