Four Leg Artist Stool - Cross Stretcher - c1800

Lovely Elm stool with good seat height as required by painter at easel.

This charming elm stool is wonderfully presented and is solid of joint and displays warmth and character to the elm with lovely grain and patina.

The dished seat rides upon a quad of attractively turned legs which are united by an X-stretcher providing strength and ensuring a solid base.

An excellent example with very useful height.
