A wonderful, rare & splendid fully hallmarked solid silver compact mirror. This beautiful accessory was crafted in the early 1940s by Orlandini Corrado. This luxury accessory was assayed (tested for silver purity) in Firenze (Florence).

Acanthus leaves have been fashioned to form the stand of an ornate urn. The whole of the outer case is embellished with florid acanthus leaves and forget-me-not flowers. Such romantic imagery!

Acanthus leaves symbolise everlasting life.

Forget-me-not flowers represent deep love and respect.

Breathtakingly beautiful!

The compact is hallmarked in multiple places. These marks include the maker's mark of 24 FI which is seen just above the silver purity mark of 800. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. The catch and hinge work perfectly. An immaculate velvet pouch is included.

A slender and elegant compact which is ideal for use as a luxury handbag mirror or cherished display collectible. Measures 3 inches diameter. Weighs 66.8 grams.
