19th C French Corbielle Chateau Double Bed

This is a very pretty Double Corbielle Bed, it is very high at the head and superbly shaped at both the top and foot bed. The show wood of the bed is carved and still in its original shabby cream paint, the bed has been recently upholstered in Blue toile de jouy with a slightly cream background

The bed is in excellent condition, the show wood has an original slightly distressed finish, it dismantles for transport (head board, foot board, two sides we will supply the bed with a new pine slatted base
The head of the bed is 56” high and 59” wide, and takes a mattress is 54” x 75” (a normal 4ft 6” double)
