A 1950s Regent of London compact with a flawless enamel & gilt decoration on bone china. The lid is so eye-catching - a single black enamel rose with a crimson centre, black & crimson leaves & lovely gilt accents & foliage. The inner lid is signed 'REGENT OF LONDON'within an oval cartouche. The Regent of London trademark crown gilt & pretty. The original sifter has silk stitching & a velvet edge. The mirror is excellent & gives a perfect reflection. All clasps & hinges work perfectly & the whole item is excellent. The base is decorated with a gilt woven effect. A pristine drawstring pouch comes with this compact to keep it in good condition.
