1930s Cyma half hunter pocket watch, military link.
The watch has a good quality 15 jewel movement (3 adjustments) which is working nicely. The movement has been identified as by Cyma.
The movement is protected by an inner cover which is engraved, ‘Presented to SJT E E McMahon, by members of WOs and SJTs Mess Training Battalion R Signals, on the occasion of his Discharge to Pension, 5th Oct 1934’.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, a prolific manufacturer and supplier of cases to various watch makers. The case is in lovely condition with just light marking, nothing serious at all.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is a glass lens which is in lovely condition.
The dial is in very nice condition with original hands, including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.
The watch comes in a vintage presentation box from a Yorkshire jeweller.
