Delightful 18th.c. Welsh oak box settle c.1760. Superb eight panel backrest with moulded rails and mullions repeated on the rear and across the front of the settle below the seat. Simple shaped arms with rounded ends on turned supports. Board seat with hinged centre lifting to reveal useful storage inside for boots and shoes etc. Oak side panels and floor boards. Great rustic character with some obvious old wear. Excellent condition, solid and sturdy and particularly good colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
