18thC Welsh Oak and Pine Box Settle Pew
A beautiful late 18th Century Welsh Oak and pine Box Settle of wonderful traditional form with provenance from the village of St Florence in south Pembrokeshire.
Constructed form quality pine around a strong oak frame. In nice condition with lovely colour and wonderful grain, it is strong and sturdy having some historic repairs to the rear legs and replacement sled feet, with only a few historic worm holes to mention. Having a gently sloping back and comfortable seat height. The seat opening into a box base offering superb storage.
A much sought after piece of Welsh country antique furniture this settle is both strong and stable and suitable for daily use.
We are well known for the quality of the settles we sell, they are highly practical items and look as well in a hall or kitchen as they do in a living room or parlour.
