Circa 1830, good William IV mahogany revolving piano stool. The unusual shaped stool has a newly re-leathered top with close studding. There are turned rails on each end which overlap the leather and these are finished with stylish flower heads on both sides. The apron beneath is foliate carved and underneath there is a large shaft which fits into the upright of the stool. The main column has a wonderful top with a turned column with wrap around acanthus leaves, standing on a raised concave platform base and finishing on 4 squat bun feet. The piece is very stylish, clean and elegant. The rise and fall mechanism on the stool does not work anymore but it does revolve.

Size 48cm high x 44cm wide x 33cm deep.
