A good quality William IV pale mahogany drum table. Raised on tri-form base with scroll feet and original brass castors and hexagonal tapered column. The top has eight frieze drawers, four sliding in the normal manner and four drawers that revolve out all of which have brass locks, escutcheons and ring handles. The solid top is particularly well figured and the whole is in good condition and retains a fine faded colour. 780mm high and 1220mm diameter. English. Circa 1835 W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries. Now under the stewardship of Mark and his wife, Louise, we take pride in maintaining the high standards which William set more than 50 years ago.
