William IV Mahogany Cylinder Bookcase


A super William IV/early Victorian cylinder bookcase in beautifully figured flame mahogany, with a rectangular moulded cornice above two glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the projecting base with a revolving cylinder door concealing a fitted interior with pigeon holes, three short drawers and pull out desk surface with original green & gilt tooled leather inset adjustable writing slope. The base cupboard with a shelf and on a plinth base. Has a good rich colour and in good condition for age and use, some old repairs/filled areas and are of unevenness to veneer at bottom adjacent to left door. Divides into three sections for moving and delivery and comes with key.
