Here we have for sale this elegant late Victorian Wileman & Co pink Dolly Varden side plate, with its wonderful Japanese inspired Aesthetics movement floral pattern decoration.

History

Wileman & Co were established in 1872 when James Wileman and Joseph Ball Shelley became partners at the Foley Potteries, Stoke on Trent. The business later became the world renowned Shelley brand. Wileman retired in 1884 but Shelley retained its Wileman name until 1925 when the name changed to Shelley.

A superb late Victorian cabinet plate that make a fantastic gift or an ideal addition to any fine porcelain collection.
