Welsh Pine and Elm Farmhouse Box Settle c1820
A beautiful mid 19th Century Welsh pine Box Settle of gorgeous traditional form. Constructed form the most wonderfully grained pine with a strong frame, displaying the most beautiful warm and nutty colour throughout. Originating from the mid Teifi Valley near Llanybydder c1820
In stunning original condition with lovely colour, having a gently sloping back and comfortable seat height. The seat opening into a box base offering superb storage with a second storage.
A much sought after piece of Welsh country antique furniture this settle is both strong and stable and suitable for daily use. With just a small amount of historic worm holes and a small repair to one rear leg to mention this pretty settle is in excellent order.
We are well known for the quality of the settles we sell, they are highly practical items and look as well in a hall or kitchen as they do in a living room or parlor.
