Wedgwood - Eric Ravilious TRAVEL Tureen a/f

A fabulous Wedgwood vegetable Tureen featuring 3 vignettes on the lid. A bus, a snowstorm and a train on a viaduct. The Travel series was designed by Eric Ravilious for Wedgwood in the 1930's and only first issued in the early 1950's. The tureen has 2 tiny rim chips on the lid which have been filled in (please see photos 4 and 5). Could easily be touched in. Otherwise it is in excellent condition and displays beautifully despite the chips. White marks are camera flash. 24cm dia handle to handle.
