Stunning Pine Wardrobe - Shabby Chic Appeal - c1880
A very desirable quality French wardrobe of useful proportions presented in good condition.
With a trio of drawers, hanging space and shelves this piece offers versatility.
The bleached pine giving the piece a desirable shabby chic appeal. The wardrobe benefits from original plaster embellishments some of which have become detached over the years as seen in the images.
Original bevelled edge mirror. Solid throughout and suitable for daily use.
The wardrobe is in three sections and therefore will be suitable for most access situations.
Rising from chamfer block feet into a full width lower drawer which displays moulded edge detailing, robust dovetails & original fittings in common with the rest of the piece.
A mirror door, complete with bevel edged plate, opens to reveal the hanging section which is complete with centre rail and perimeter hooks.
A pair of drawers sit below the upper cabinet. The cabinet door displays fine circular raised central feature with cherubs, opening to reveal twin shelves.
The whole is capped with a fine wide crown moulding with further plasterwork and moulding embellishment.
Overall a quality example in good order providing huge style and practicality. A rare wardrobe in this size and condition with much charm.
