A handsome walnut Long John coffee table of elegant proportions, raised on finely carved cabriole legs terminating in bold ball and claw feet. The well-figured rectangular top displays attractive walnut grain, framed by a crisply carved moulded edge that adds definition and refinement to the overall form.

The table stands on four robust yet graceful legs, each enriched with carved acanthus detail at the knee and flowing down to well-executed ball and claw feet, a timeless motif associated with quality English antique furniture. The warm walnut colour and gentle patination enhance the depth of the timber and reflect its age and careful preservation.circa 1930
