Superb late 19th.c. walnut hallstand by the London cabinet makers W.Walker & Sons c.1880. Standing 86″ tall with four large brass hooks arranged above a hexagonal bevelled mirror with a small shelf below and four additional smaller hooks to the sides. Over a well figured grey marble top table with glove drawer, flanked with curving brass stays for sticks and umbrellas. Plinth base with display shelf and removable metal drip trays. Carved detail to the panels and mirror surround. Fluted uprights and crisply turned front legs and shelf supports. Clearly stamped for Walker & Sons on the top of the drawer front. Minor tarnish to the mirror, otherwise excellent condition. Original brass throughout. Cleaned and polished in our workshops.
