Walnut Biedermeier sleigh style sofa
Very elegant and super quality Biedermeier sleigh style sofa with scrolling ends and a serpentine back support, circa 1900 and in good original condition.
This is a lovely size at a generous two seater, certainly suitable for everyday use in a living room but would also look great as a decorative hall piece, or perhaps also an end of bed sofa.
The frame is in a wonderful mellow walnut colour and waxed finish and the ribbon scroll mouldings just finish it off beautifully.
The watermarked silk is in good condition having been reupholstered recently, finished with a braided edging, bolster and back cushions.
Super piece and classic Biedermeier style.

36 inches or 91cm max height
75 inches or 190.5 cm width
26 inches or 66 cm deep
