Walnut Art Nouveau Marble Washstand
Made somewhere between 1880-1910, this piece epitomises the quality of British craftsmanship
A very practical piece of antique furniture made in the Art Nouveau styke will enhance and become the centrepiece of any room
A very pretty piece piece of furniture with a delightful carved mirror, the top and back are from what look like black marble (these originally would have been for splashes from the jug and bow , preventing what normally would have been the wooden surface from damage) there are also 3 more generously sized drawers giving a large amount of storage, and a panelled cupboard
The quality of the materials used and the standard or craftsmanship set this piece apart from many similar washstands, in the recent past this piece was renovated to give is a lighter look and as you can see from te many images it looks spectacular
