Beautiful early 19th.c. French walnut and marble top commode or chest of drawers on legs c.1800. Splendid original inch thick marble top with a shaped and moulded edge. Over two drawers with solid walnut drawer fronts with a shallow breakfront profile and moulded edges. Very impressive oversized period brass rococo handles and escutcheon plates. Shaped raised and fielded side panels, moulded front stiles continuing as slim legs with brass mounts to the feet. Solid walnut carcass, oak drawer linings. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
