An attractively carved vintage oak chest dating from circa 1930. It has a carved oak front with 4 trefoil emblems to the side panels and 2 small triangular emblems over a chevron design to the centre panel. With a hinged lid offering ample storage, it would make an ideal toy box, blanket chest or even a coffee table. The top is plywood.
Construction/Wood
A mixture of solid oak and plywood (front is oak, top is plywood).
Condition Report
It has been stripped at some point to a lighter colour (would have originally been dark). Solid and sturdy, wear and marks commensurate with age.
