This is a vintage console table. A French, mahogany and marble wall table or candle shelf, dating to the late Art Deco period, circa 1940.
Art Deco taste and sinuous forms combine for this distinctive table
Displaying a desirable aged patina throughout
Mahogany presents deep russet hues and fine grain interest
Marble plinth top with copious vein detail and warm colour
Demi-lune box apron dressed with gilt metal wreath links
Foliate cross and leaf motif to the pronounced knee
Serpentine leg terminates in a delightful scrolled end, finished with small gilt flowerhead
