Beautiful vintage Chinese Fish Bowl / Jardiniere in stunning condition.
Traditionally these were used for keeping Goldfish or Koi, now they are more likely to be used as a Plant Pot Holders or as a decorative piece to be admired.
It is hand painted in the Canton, Rose Mandarin style with four separate painted panels showing figures in different settings, surrounded by flowers in amazing vivid colours. Rising up to painted borders and the Rim with flowers circling it. On the inside of the Bowl there are painted Goldfish swimming amongst water lilies.
Standing 30 cm tall and a Circumference of 40 cm.
