This desk would have been made circa 1880. Made of solid walnut with mahogany drawer linings. The drawers are of a very good length, something that is very important in a good desk. The desk comes into 3 sections, that allows for ease of movement. The original brass handles are very evocative for that period in time. The desk has 3 drawers along the top and a bank of 3 graduated drawers to each pedestal.
The inset high quality hide leather writing surface has been hand gilt tooled and antiqued.
