Victorian Watercolour Portrait Painting of a Girl

This is a most endearing Victorian portrait painting, in watercolour, on paper. Circa 1840.
It features a little girl standing on a woodland path. She has a hoop and stick in hand, and her bonnet is by her feet.
Beautifully painted in great detail.
She looks very pleased to be having her picture painted
Original gilt frame, behind glass
Very good antique condition. No damage to the painting.
The frame looks to be original. It has an old crack to the lower edge and some minor scuffs and blemishes, very much in keeping with the age of the painting.
