This lovely antique chest of drawers dates from the second half of the nineteenth century. It is of heavy construction and is made from pitch pine with a stained finish. It consists of four long graduated drawers, the top one of which has a drawer front designed to look like to separate smaller drawers. It retains its handles, locks and escutcheons but please note that no key is present. The chest us supported on turned bun feet.

Condition: Overall this attractive piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing, scratching, knocking and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and the piece is overall a little faded. There are some areas of minor wood loss in places, and some paint flecking and marking. The drawer runners are worn and would benefit from some attention. There are some signs of old woodworm - this is not active but has been retreated as a precaution.
