Victorian Set Six Oak Ladder Back Dining Chairs
SET SIX ANTIQUE VICTORIAN OAK LADDER BACK DINING CHAIRS AND DATING FROM AROUND 1880.
THERE ARE FOUR CHAIRS AND TWO LARGE CARVER CHAIRS ALL CONSTRUCTED FROM QUALITY OAK THEY HAVE A LOVELY SHAPED FIVE LADDER BACK WITH RUSH SEATS AND STANDING ON A ROUND TURNED LEG WITH A PAD FOOT AND JOINED BY TURNED STRETCHERS TO THE FRONT AND SIDES. THE CARVERS ARE IDENTICAL AND HAVE A NICELY SHAPED OUTSPLAYED ARMREST ON A TURNED SUPPORT LEADING TO THE FRONT LEG.
IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AND WITH A LOVELY DEEP COLOUR AND PATINATION TO THE OAK AND OOZING THE CHARM AND CHARACTER OF THE PERIOD.
EACH CHAIR MEASURES 39" HIGH X SEAT HEIGHT 17 X 16" DEEP X 19.5" WIDE
EACH CARVER MEASURES 41" HIGH X SEAT HEIGHT 17" X 24" DEEP X 20" WIDE
