We have this lovely pine mule chest with two drawers. It provides a generous storage space or blankets, clothes etc. These chests are increasingly popular as coffee antique tables, making an attractive statement piece in the centre of your living room. The drawers, have turned pine handles, they run smoothly, the hinges are original. The lock is missing.

The piece shows genuine signs of age. Some scratches, stains, dents and minor splits combine to produce a well used patina.

The wood was stripped and finished with two coats of French Polish then waxed to retain the rustic look. Some of the trim wood has been painted black for a very attractive contrast.

There are some signs of old woodworm so we have carefully applied two coats of a permethrin based treatment.
