This is such a pretty little chair. It is Victorian, dating to around 1880 or so. The chair is in ebony with carved parcel gilt decoration. Look at the quality of the carved feet and columns and finial to the side of the back. The back is buttoned. The upholstery is quality and very attractive - minor wear on top - see photo.

I love this chair. It is pretty enough for a well appointed bedroom or as an occasional chair in an opulently furnished salon.

The chair is 31 inches high at the back and the seat is 15 inches high and the seat is 21 inches wide.
