A superb quality large early Victorian papier mâché tray with quite exquisitely painted and gilded original chinoiserie decoration of birds, butterflies, and flowers. The tray now sits on a later faux bamboo lacquered stand with plate glass top, allowing its use as a coffee table.

Condition & Details of Restoration
This tray is in excellent untouched original condition with no damage. There are extremely minor rubs to the decoration in places.
